Good Seo Tips to know what Search Engines want

Let us take a look at what search engines want. Every single search engine is looking for words, they want lots of words, they want lots of original words, the want lots of original words that make sense. This is what they crawl and this is what they are good at ranking. More content and less fluff will improve search engine friendliness of your website.
What do we mean by fluff? Always make sure that most of the things from your sidebar that are not related to this blog in a content kind of way are removed. Things like:
» I am listed on xyz (here am I blowing my own trombone, and you have to get to know that.)
» I support this and that (the committee for prevention of cruelty to overworked imaginations, the society for the saving of purloined umbrellas , and I would like it very much if you would join me in these committees too. By the way they have been started by me, and you just need nine dollars to join which will go into the CCFPJ fund - caring and cherishing of Forsythe P Jones to keep him in hamburgers and videogames…)
» These people visited this site and were wearing pink pajamas, singing yaaa ya yippee yippee yah when they came swinging down the mountain.
» I am a member of this site, that club, that committee, that society and they would like to know everything about you. You can even give them the name of your dentist.

» I like these pictures… I really do not know much of art , but I know what I like
» Vote for me here and there… I am standing for the most popular bore contest.
» Subscribe here . Except for your own personal newsletter, do not ask everybody to subscribe to newsletters which are going to tell them about absolutely nothing at all in the shape of spam.
Follow me here » etc, etc… not only are these articles boring, but they are tiresome.
This things are OK if you run a blog or a site with lots and lots of visitors that actually click on this fluff and you get results. If you want a SEO friendly site and if you want no distractions then, it is necessary that you get rid of them.
What does (can) belong into your sidebar:
» latest posts - these are links to your post, more PR material , and indexing of your site
» your best work - post you are proud of, things you want people to read, again links to these post will give them better SERP’s.
» archives - let people find your old posts . You also have plenty of potential matter to make any future e-books.
» RSS feed button - only one, just in case someone want to subscribe to your feed.

Role of Reciprocal links in SEO

After proving that link exchanges really work to help search engine rankings, I was bombarded with requests asking about my successful method for getting reciprocal links. Instead of answering each person individually, I decided to put up an article that will help everyone who is struggling with getting responses to their link request emails.

And that's the big problem with link exchange requests, isn't it? They are often ignored. If you have the words "link exchange" or "reciprocal link" or anything like that in the email subject, the email will be unceremoniously deleted by 95% of webmasters. The other 5% probably aren't worth trading links with.

Why is that? It's because thousands of webmasters are using automated tools to crank out the link request emails, trying to get links to junk sites that have little real content and even less value. Because of this, webmasters have been conditioned to ignore link request emails.

First, Don't Ask For Link: Pay A Compliment and Give a Link

I solved this problem by not asking for a link in my "link request" email. In fact, I don't even mention a link at all!

Does it seem counter-intuitive to not ask for a link request in my emails which are designed to get a link to my site? It probably does. But if you ask for a link, you'll just get your email deleted, so you need to take an alternate route.

My subject line is usually something like:

"I'd love to add your site to my directory!"

Then, in the message body, I tell the webmaster what I like about their site and ask them to add their site to my directory. (Note: You should always pay the webmaster a personalized compliment so that they know your request wasn't cranked out by a machine.)

Wouldn't you be much more motivated to open up an email that says the person would love to add your site to their directory than to open one that says "Link exchange request" or something impersonal like that?

They Add Their Link To Your Directory, And Then ...

Once the webmaster adds their link to your directory, only then do you ask for a link back. Once they've already been given a generous link by you, most often those same webmasters will return the favor. In fact, I generally see about a 70% reciprocal link rate.

For the other 30%, they are still a valuable addition to my directory, so I keep them in there, but I mark their links with the rel="no follow" attribute so I don't lose any page rank for a webmaster who won't return the favor.

Do The Math

In the typical, unproductive scenario, you might send out 100 emails asking for a link back. You might get 10% to open the email at all, and of those who do only 20% actually swap links with you. That's 100 emails times 10% who open, or 10 people who actually read the email. Of those 10, 20% swap links with you, so you end up with only 2 links. Ouch!

Using my method, I get a solid 50-60% who open the email, followed by 70% who swap links with me. So I end up with 100 times 50%, or 50 email readers, times 70%. So I end up with 35 links. That's more than 17 times as productive as the clunky old method.

But it still takes work, which is why I recommend using SEO Elite to automate the process of finding and emailing potential link partners.

Looking For The Most Successful Home Based Businesses

You probably have asked yourself at some stage, "what are the most successful home based businesses?" Well, the answer is that what is successful today may not be successful in a years time, as the online business world changes very fast. We all start out with the intention of being successful, but some fail to achieve this goal.

What may be popular today may be non-existent tomorrow. There is so much competition on the internet that it is difficult to keep a successful business going for very long. A small number of companies and opportunities manage to maintain consistent success over the years. However, there is always competition to be faced from energetic new businesses that have emerged recently. So what are the most successful home based businesses as things stand today?

One of the most successful businesses by far is the plug-in profit site. This business has been around for several years now and has helped a number of internet marketing newbies develop into some of the top internet marketers online. There are several programs that come with this business and amazing assistance from everyone within the business.

A successful home business that is fairly new is Success University. Although this is considered an affiliate program, it has developed into an extremely successful home based business that people can get involved with. With this program, you will learn everything you need to with motivation, leadership and marketing techniques. From there, you can teach others and sell the program itself to become very successful yourself.

One of the newest programs that can already be considered a successful home based business is Abunza. Abunza is an opportunity that offers you incredible support and amazingly delivers a 100 percent commission. This is something very few programs and businesses on the internet offer.

Now, this will require more effort and imagination, but why not start an enterprise from scratch, instead of just asking what are the most successful home based businesses at present. If you can get started working for your self, then that is often the most successful business idea you can have. The rewards from succeeding in your own small business can surpass being involved with even the most successful home business company on the internet, and can be well worth the time and effort needed to establish yourself.

The internet has opened up opportunities in many different ares, so look carefully for the best. You need to be a little bit careful here, as not all companies that are currently successful will be able to adapt sufficiently to survive as the business world changes. The safe route to take is to start your own business and develop it until you are successful on your own. Two things which you make sucess

I struggled for a long time and got nowhere with my online business. But it's now beginning to turn around.

Here are a couple of things that I've personally done that are starting to get me some traction. This is not to say I'm a guru. I'm not. Yet. But things are beginning to go my way.

I hope these will provide some support to people who are in the down period with their online business - when you've discovered that you don't just put up a site and make millions.

Here we go:

1) Listen to your gut feel.

One of the things that attracted me to the business I joined was the promise of a pre-written email sequence to follow up with my opt-ins. In order to understand what people who opted in to my site were experiencing I opted in to my own site. And I was thoroughly dismayed.

The emails that came out were the epitome of 'interruption marketing' (hat tip to Seth Godin). They were full of SCREAMING and orders to DO THIS RIGHT NOW.

Most people who received those emails didn't much like them, so they hit the 'Spam' button pretty regularly. As a result, the delivery rate, which was low a year ago, became so low that by this year it was zero. And the pre-written emails were scrapped.

Luckily (and much to the disapproval of my sponsor at the time) I set up my own lead capture page, wrote or edited my own follow up emails, set up my own Aweber account and kept my optins well away from the 'official' email sequence. And my delivery rate has been consistently over 97%.

This is not meant as a brag. My point is this: there was a lot of pressure for me to use the 'company' system, and that would have been the easy option. But I was very uncomfortable at the thought of emails like that going out in my name, and using my email address as the 'reply to' address.

So I followed my gut feel and did my own thing - as much to protect my reputation as anything.

It's not easy to do your own thing when you're new in a business and your sponsor is encouraging you in the direction of the company system.

But, when your gut feel tells you otherwise, you should listen very carefully. And, as long as you're not breaking any terms or conditions, following your gut feel is usually not going to take you too far wrong.

2) Give others the benefit of your experience so that they can find success more quickly.

When I first set up a blog I thought that it had to be a marketing channel for my business. I was still finding my feet in the business and most of the benefits that I wrote about were simply re-stated from the company conference calls, emails and website.

Nothing I wrote at that time described my own experience. And when I read those early posts now I am, frankly, embarrassed. I also had about 1 visitor a week.

Then I realised that I could use my blog to provide support to others who were at the same stage I was. That I could actually provide something of value. It's also a very efficient way to provide support to people in my downline.

So I started to write about my own struggles and the things I'd learned, rather than pushing the business. The difficulties and successes I'd had and how I'd dealt with them.

Since then, my readership has gone up steadily and I actually enjoy writing my weekly post now - whereas before it was one of those tasks that loomed over me.

If you write about your own personal experiences it's much easier to draw people into your circle because, strange as it may seem, people can 'hear' that what you're writing is real.

It's a lot easier to get sales from people with whom you already have a relationship!

Just be sure to make a clear connection between what you're writing about and the focus of your blog!

So - two things that have helped to get things going my way:

1) Listening to my gut feel.

2) Using my experiences to offer support to others.

Article Marketing To Grow Your Business

Article marketing is one of the easiest and most effective types of website promotion. Simply by writing articles that center on aspects of your website's theme and submitting them to top article directories, you will begin to see a pickup in website traffic. If you are not a confident writer, then you can easily and affordably hire a ghost writer for your writing projects.

Well written articles can bring you free website traffic from a huge increase in back links. The key to your success with article marketing is twofold. Firstly, your articles need to be well written, informative and relevant to your website. Secondly, you need to write and submit articles to high traffic websites regularly. Article marketing won't work as a website promotion strategy if you are simply doing it occasionally, you have to work to a regular writing and submission routine so that the number of back links increase over time.

The back links from other directories are important for website promotion in two different ways. They are a link from the article to your site that very interested readers of your article can follow and therfore, they are a means for highly targeted traffic to reach your site. They also serve an important SEO (search engine optimization) service because the search engine algorithms use the number of relevant, one way back links to your website as an important factor in assigning your ranking on search results pages.

Article marketing is effective as a website promotion technique because other websites and ezines can find your articles in article directories and publish your articles with a link to your website in the resource bio. Most article directories do not allow you to place embedded links in your article but do allow you to include links and marketing information in your resource box that appears below the article.

Your resource bio info can attract free website traffic by highlighting your expertise and anything you are particularly marketing with a link to relevant pages. People who wish to use your article on their website or in their ezine must agree to keep your resource information intact.

You can choose to write an informative article about some aspect of your business that a reader may be interested in, alternatively you can write a product review designed to encourage your reader to take the next step and buy (or at least consider buying) the product. Many internet entrepreneurs use article marketing to direct people to their website to offer them a free e-book or subscription to a newsletter so that they can build an opt-in email list for ongoing marketing purposes. Article marketing is one of the best ways to pre-sell a product because it allows you to gain enough credibility with your reader that they are more inclined to click on your resource box link to discover more.

Article marketing is a highly effective tactic to attract free targeted traffic to your website. You may have a great product and a excellent sales-pitch, but without targeted website traffic your online business will be going nowhere. However, if you are committed to writing at least one article a day and submit those articles to high traffic article directories as well as directories that have high search engine ranks, you will soon find that you will have incredible website visitors that are knocking on your online door.

Making Money With Your Blog Is Possible

As an indication of where we are as a society, there are a number of blogging business opportunities available for people who know their way around the Internet. With all sorts of interesting things like Google AdSense and other ways for people to get paid, the blog business opportunity is bigger than ever. You should be careful if you are going to consider this because you need to know how the rules are played and you need to know what counts and what does not and you need to know how you will get paid. All of these are things to consider and things which should be known when you are considering the blog business opportunity.

Blog is short for "web log", which is basically just someone's account of what happened somewhere. If a business owner wants to give more details about his business and opportunity, that's considered valid. Also considered a legitimate blog would be a theater producer that blogs about the theater. If someone maintains a blog who is a disgruntled graveyard shift worker at a hotel, they have a blog subject that is valid. What's fun about the many business opportunities is the ability to turn them all into cash.

Blogging for money is the same as anything else and it's all about driving traffic to your blog. The more people who read your blog then the more money you are likely to make. There is the added bonus that you can put advertisements on your blog that are related to your topic of your blog or the subjects of your various posts and these can make you money as well. Some would say that with the different ways to make money blogging, the old "website" may start to become a thing of the past. While that statement may be a little bit ahead of its time, there will likely be a day when webpages as we know them today are no longer. The blog is a comfortable format that we are all very familiar with as we've all had to keep journals in grade school and many of us probably kept diaries outside of school. So we all are familiar with the daily entry format of the single thought process that goes along and takes you from one thing to the next to the next.

Fortunately for those of us who enjoy the blog as a medium, they are sort of like the diary of the Internet. Diaries are still around today just as they were hundreds of years ago. So with the introduction of this new technology, turning the blog into a business opportunity seems a great thing to do right now. If you are beginning to wonder where the future is headed, we may already be here; if you are not familiar with the blog as a business opportunity and you have anything at all original to say then you had better get familiar with it really quick. Internet Back Links And Google Ranking

If you are aware of the Google ranking of websites, you must also be aware of certain factors that play a great role in heightening the ranks. You must also know that the backlinks are one of the most effective factors that are very important in improving the Google rank. If you are not quite well aware of the importance of the backlinks, click down this page since it will provide you with the necessary details.

How would you understand if the Google ranking of your website is high or not? You have to notice the page ranking of the pages of your websites. The higher the page rank, the higher the Google ranking of your website. If you are desirous to get your website listed in Google organic results, the important websites have to link to your websites. There are many website owners who generally manage to have a number of websites linked to their websites, bulk by bulk. If those websites are popular and frequently visited, and if the keywords of the backlinks are quite relevant, the linked websites are sure to be more and more popular. The page ranking also is sure to go high.

You might wonder if backlinks form the only factor which is important in deciding the Google ranking of the websites. The fact is that there are some more factors that are also quite important in deciding the Google ranking of the websites. These factors are discussed below.

The most important thing that matters in deciding the Google ranking of the websites or some pages is the quality of the content. It has to be taken care that the content has a uniformed density of keywords. The content has to be informative. The keywords should be used in a way that they should never appear to have been forced in to the content.

The keywords of the backlinks should be chosen after giving much thought to it. They should be attractive so that the visitors feel tempted to click on the backlink and visit the page. The more the number of the visitors is, the better if the Google ranking of the website since the number of the visitors into a website is one of the important factors that decide the Google ranking of the websites. Here lies the importance of the backlinks in Google ranking.

There are certain things that have to be kept in mind. Backlinking helps in facilitating the navigation of the visitor into your website. You have to take care that the websites from which the backlinks of your websites are should be of a high quality. If the quality of that website is too poor, it may harm the Google ranking of your website while if that website is high in quality, the backlinks from that website may heighten the Google ranking of this website. You also have to take care that the website where the backlinks link to your website contain relevant contents.
